RP-HPLC method development and validation of Selegiline hydrochloride in nanoemulsion formulation

A simple, specific, precise and accurate RPHPLC method has been developed for determination of Selegiline hydrochloride in bulk and nanoemulsion formulation using C18 column;250 mm length, 4.6 mm internal diameter,0.5 particle size with UV visible detector (detection wavelength206nm). The elution was performed in an isocratic mode with mobile phase consisting of methanol: phosphate buffer (95:5) at a flow rate of 1ml/minute. Methanol was used as a diluent and retention time was found to be 2.9 minutes. The method was found to be linear (20 to 160g/ml), rugged and robust with LOQ of 0.00819 g/ml. The percentage purity of Selegiline hydrochloride in nanoemulsion formulation was found to be 98.9%.
